Application examples for integration in Memberspot

Integrations make your work much easier and ensure that your processes run more smoothly. They also increase the efficiency of your processes - but not only that - the quality of the data collected increases, as no human errors can be introduced. To save time and resources, using Hubspot is a very good decision as you automate your processes and thus work more effectively. Hubspot can also be linked to Memberspot and is a so-called integration. But what exactly is it?

What is integration?

An integration is the interface or connection that enables different applications or systems to communicate with each other and exchange data.
As a company, you can therefore combine data with several applications in order to connect and optimize processes.

Integrations can be implemented using APIs (Application Programming Interfaces), for example. An API is an interface that makes it possible to connect different applications with each other. They can then communicate and exchange data. You can access these applications completely without knowing the source code. An example of this is Google Maps. You can use it to place a map with your company location on your website. This works without any source code. 🌍

You can also connect Memberspot with Hubspot. Sergej uses 3 examples to show you what options are available.

To add Hubspot as an integration, you must first click on the plus button under Integrations in Memberspot and select Hubspot - as shown in the image below. A new page will then open where you can select your Hubspot account. Now follow the steps on the page. A "Memberspot" area must now be created in Hubspot.

There are various events that you can select in Memberspot. These include, for example, "Member has received the course", "Lesson completed" or "Member not logged in". To add the events, click on "Add" (the blue button) at the top left of the integrations. 

These are automations that you can link to Hubspot. These connections increase your customer's success, as you can keep an eye on their activities and work closely with them.

Example 1: Creating a new customer

How does the process work when I create a new contact in the CRM software Hubspot or when it is created from another software?

If you have now connected Hubspot to Memberspot, you can create a new area called "Memberspot" in Hubspot and link the events to Hubspot. 

As soon as you add a contact in Hubspot, it is possible for an online course to be activated with one click. This process can also be completely automated. So when a customer buys your online course, the payment software reports this to Hubspot. This automatically creates a contact.

In Hubspot, you can now check whether the course has been received and the corresponding property in the Memberspot area has been set to "Yes". If everything checks out, access to the course is granted and the member is created in Memberspot. You can also check the status of the event in Memberspot to see whether the access was successful and the email was created. Click on the status to open the "Logs" window, where you can see whether the customer has been granted access. ✅

In the event of an error or missing activation, a message is sent to the provider and access can be activated manually. As a provider, you can now control and manage the activation of the purchased product in the Hubspot CRM software in Memberspot after the purchase contract has been concluded - even without admin access. 

Example 2: Inactivity of the customer 

With the connection to Hubspot, you can also ensure that your customer is satisfied with your service.

How can you find out? You can do this by checking whether the customer has logged in within a certain time after the purchase. Initially, customers are motivated and prefer to start immediately, so if you notice that there has been no activity from the customer, you can contact them and ask why. ❓

With hundreds of customers, you can't check each one individually, so there is automation to help you keep track of everything. In our example, we use the automated event "Member not logged in", where we set the value to 14 days in Hubspot. If a customer does not log in within these 14 days, an automated email is sent to the provider. In Hubspot, a task is assigned to the responsible employee. They can call the customer to find out why they have not started or continued the online course.

If a customer does not log in for 7 to 14 days, this may indicate that they have not been successful with the product and may cancel their subscription. To avoid this, contact your customer and you will find a solution together.

Example 3: Winning new customers

When acquiring new customers, you want to find out what your customer actually wants to achieve with your service and which points are particularly important to them. 👀

In our case, the topic of "employee motivation" is close to the customer's heart. He not only wants to attract new employees, but also increase and strengthen their motivation. Based on this information, you recommend that your customer take a look at chapter 3 of the online course, for example, as it deals specifically with employee motivation.

By using Memberspot, you can track when your customer has completed which chapter or lesson of your course. This information can also be retrieved with Hubspot. As in our example, the property "Chapter 3" can be added there. Now we can check after 30 days, for example, whether they have already completed the chapter or not. If this is not the case, information is sent to the responsible employee. So that they can get in touch with the customer.

This helps to support the customer's success. They are usually grateful that someone is looking after them and motivating them. This gives the customer a feeling of appreciation and strengthens customer loyalty. Communication after the purchase of the product is also part of the customer journey. So if you show interest in your customer, the customer experience is perfect for them.

Integrations and Slack

You can create a channel in Slack so that your employees are notified when one of the events is triggered. You are probably familiar with Slack, as many companies use it for internal communication. 🗣️

But a quick reminder: Slack is a communication platform on which employees can communicate and collaborate with each other. Here you have functions such as instant messaging, file and document sharing, video and voice calls as well as the option of integrating connections such as Memberspot, Google Drive and many others. Slack facilitates collaboration and communication within your team. Files and conversations are stored and organized in one place.

This function is not only suitable for tracking your customers, but also for your employees. A connection to Slack can ensure that you are notified about which employee is currently undergoing which training. This ensures that every employee receives the support they need to be successful. Everyone can receive individual support and encouragement
