Smarter notifications for your community
Anyone who receives a lot of community interactions, comments, or reviews is familiar with the problem: notifications can quickly turn into a flood of emails. This is exactly where our new feature comes in.
With the email digest for notifications, Memberspot automatically compiles unread updates and sends them in a single email—instead of sending each notification individually.
The result: users stay informed without being overwhelmed by emails.
Intelligent shipping logic
The digest automatically adapts to user behavior.
- First digest email: 3 hours after the first unread notification
- After that, the intervals are gradually extended.
- Maximum of one digest email every 14 days
As soon as someone logs in again, the timer is reset—so active users stay up to date more quickly.
What's in the digest?
The digest email bundles all relevant activities at a glance:
- new community posts, comments, and mentions
- rated submissions including direct feedback link
- an engagement overview with interactions from other members
- Optionally, a trending post that is currently being discussed particularly actively
A central button takes you directly to where something has happened—for example, to the community or to new reviews.
Full control for administrators
Admins can customize or disable the digest at any time.
Located at:
Admin → Email Templates → Notification Digest
There you can find, among other things:
- customize the subject line
- edit the template
- or completely disable the feature
Why we built this
Our goal is clear: more relevant interaction, fewer unnecessary emails.
The digest ensures that members don't miss important updates—while keeping their inbox under control.
