Before Memberspot, Christopher had to train his employees himself. He therefore decided to record video training sessions and upload them to a course platform that is easy to use.

About Christopher Döring from Energiekonzepte Deutschland

Christopher Döring is Sales Manager and authorized signatory of Energiekonzepte Deutschland, which was founded in 2018. They started with 2 salespeople and now have over 2000 employees and independent sales representatives (as of 2023). EKD started with €30 million at Memberspot, by 2023 they will - according to Christopher - have an estimated annual turnover of one billion euros.

EKD enables its customers to supply their own electricity in order to be independent of energy companies. They achieve this with photovoltaic systems, electricity storage systems and electricity cloud solutions. Each customer receives a customized and individual system concept.

EKD is expanding and is the market leader.

Problem

Before the introduction of Memberspot, Christopher had to train every salesperson himself and new employees had to quickly immerse themselves in the technical material and understand it. Training independent sales representatives is the biggest growth lever for Energiekonzepte Deutschland. The company can only scale quickly with well-trained sales staff, so standardized training courses ensure high-quality training.

Goal 

The requirements for the training platform are:

  • User-friendly user interface with high-quality appearance
  • Simple operation
  • Digitalization of sales employee training
  • Management of logins via Microsoft Azure - SSO (Single Sign On Enterprise Feature)
  • API interface for the evaluation of learning progress
  • Scaling to market leader through innovative sales processes

Result

Memberspot gives them an appealing and clear course structure. Salesperson deficits can be reduced by being able to watch videos again. This also results in better sales controlling. The personal domain also exudes a certain seriousness towards employees and customers.

After using EKD Memberspot for over a year on a Standard tariff, the company switched to an Enterprise tariff. Single sign-on was also activated here. This allows the IT department to easily manage over 3000 logins and withdraw access.

An API interface has also been provided, which allows reporting on all employees to be automatically mirrored in an EKD system. This allows EKD to better measure performance by team and forward individual reports to the team managers.

EKD was able to achieve market leadership and Memberspot is an important pillar for the success of Energie Konzepte Deutschland as a training platform for sales.
