API extensions

We have added a new API endpoint for setting and reading member-specific properties. 🌐

New API endpoint for customized platform adaptations

This opens up a wide range of possibilities for a more individual platform design. 🎨

Now you can automatically provide agency customers or employees with customer or employee portals with the right links. All you need is a form such as Type Form or a Hubspot form that you send to your customers/employees by email. πŸ“§

For anyone using the API add-on or the Premium plan, these extensions are a real game changer. Integration is also available via Make, and integration via Zapier is planned. πŸ“†

We have moved the variable for email notifications to the course/chapter settings - for even better handling and overview. πŸ“š

You can enter a value for the variable (only text, no link and no variables per se) at the bottom right of the e-mail variable.

Advanced editor with variables

Personalize your content with variables throughout the editor to make your courses and communication more personal! 🀝🏽

Use variables directly in the editor to provide users with a personalized learning experience.

In the middle of the text in the editor you will see 2 variables, the first name and a link to a drive document (highlighted in bold), which can be selected via the drop-down menu. Standard variables and member-specific properties that you can define are displayed.

This is an example of how you can use variables in the course. You can use variables in the entire editor, including in email templates. πŸ™ŒπŸ½

Define member-specific properties

In Memberspot, click on Settings and then on Member properties, then click on Create property in the top right-hand corner. Now you can create a new property, name the property and then choose between Text or External link and you have already created member-specific properties, i.e. user-specific variables, and can select them as variables in the editor in future. πŸŽ‰

For example, share relevant Drive documents and folders with customers or employees.

The use of Google Drive links is ideal for direct customer contact, as shown here in the screenshot. From the drop-down menu in the editor, select the corresponding user-defined variable that you want to insert there (e.g. link) and combine this with standard variables (e.g. first name) to work even more efficiently. πŸ“

Please note: External link variables cannot be used in e-mail templates due to spam prevention and security reasons.

It is now also possible to bundle customers into organizations. With organizations, you can group members and combine them into one group, so to speak. This means, for example, that an agency can create an organization per company (i.e. per customer) and thus define member-specific properties once per company instead of in each individual member. ⏩
