Matthias is a safety engineer and occupational safety specialist. He worked for several years in the international corporate environment in the field of safety management and set up his own business about 2 years ago. 🦺

His core topic is Human & Organizational Performance, or HOP for short. This philosophy is a new perspective in occupational safety and stands for what matters most in occupational safety: people. It is about the performance and limitations of people and how this sometimes manifests itself in negative events, such as accidents, due to organizational and environmental influences. While in many places people are seen as the problem and their behavior is tweaked, at HOP people are the key to solving occupational health and safety problems. 👷🏽

Understanding this and implementing it in day-to-day occupational health and safety practice, using existing tools wherever possible but with a new perspective, is the core of his mentoring activities.
